WORLDSPAN TIP OF THE WEEK - Around-the-World and Circle-Trip Fares
Did you know that you can display around-the-world (RT) and circle-trip (CT) fares in Worldspan?
Here are some format examples:
To display: Enter: Around-the-world fares from SLC 4FSLCSLCRW Around-the-world fares from SLC on Delta 4FSLCSLCRW-DL Circle-trip fares from LAX 4FLAXLAXCT Circle-trip fares from LAX on United 4FLAXLAXCT-UA Rules from line 4 of fare display 4F.R4 Routing from line 2 of fare display 4FR2 Booking codes for primary carrier from line 3 of fare display 4F.B3 Booking codes for secondary carrier (LH) from line 3 of fare display 4F.B3-LH
Important notes:
· The asterisk between the airline code and the fare basis code in the fare display indicates that the Worldspan system cannot autoprice this fare. However, you can still book the trip by following the rule, routing, and booking class restrictions in Worldspan.
· Since you can see the economy, business, and first class fares, you may be able to upsell your customers when they weigh the difference in price vs. comfort on such a long journey.
